The newly proposed 41,548 square feet, concrete Monolithic Dome will serve students and faculty as an activity center, hosting a basketball and volleyball court, locker rooms, training rooms, Wellness Center, student lounge, and additional class rooms. Not only will the activity center be beneficial to the college, but also the community. The FEMA approved design will provide a community shelter before and after a tornado, as well as, an alternative hospital triage center. In addtion, Monolithic Domes have very practical money saving capabilities in upfront equipment costs, lower-to-day energy costs and reduced maintenance costs.
